Analysis of technological applications of support and awareness about mental health and the main disorders

Abstract

The objective of this research is to analyze support applications with artificial intelligence, which help to restore mental health, available on digital platforms, for people who want to improve their emotional health and obtain assistance in the treatment of mental health, through online support that reduce present symptoms. The theoretical research methodology carried out allowed us to gather information about the mental health of the Brazilian population and some of the main mental disorders with an increase in diagnoses in recent decades in Brazil. A qualitative approach was used to choose the five technological applications, with the purpose of presenting their functionalities and benefits, and which of these applications are most suitable for supporting the treatment of the diagnosis of the disorder or syndrome, in addition to expanding dissemination and raising awareness among people in the combat symptoms so that they can alleviate their physical and emotional pain. The results of the study show that the insertion of technological applications within the scope of mental health can and will increasingly support health professionals and people in the treatment of signs and symptoms, syndromes and diagnosed mental disorders, allowing the restoration of health and improvement in quality of life, for cases in which users actually use such applications in an appropriate, consistent, satisfactory and complementary way to medical and therapeutic treatments, contributing to the prevention of new diagnoses in mental health.
